How to Shoot a Basketball...
When you miss a shot, ASK YOURSELF....
"Where's the BEEF?!" or "What do I need to remember to do?"
B = Balance-
Feet shoulder width apart, pointing at hoop.
Knees bend deep, power comes from your legs!
E = Elbow points down.
Make a shooting pocket & Be a Triple Threat!
The Defense won't know if you are going to dribble, pass or shoot!
E = Eyes peek over top of ball.
Look at hoop! Are you aiming to swish? Look over the rim.
Or aim for the top inside corner of the square on the backboard = money $$hot!
F = Follow-through &Wave goodbye with a wrist snap.
Finish with your hand in the cookie jar, on the top shelf!
Keep your eyes on the hoop the whole time!
Remember you can practice your shooting with a smaller or lighter ball, like a volleyball,
and you don't need a hoop to practice your shooting!
You just need some good air space and bounce space.
Practice your shots in the air, making rainbows,
and just focus on your form,
so that when you can get to a hoop you will make more of your shots.
Plus an air shot is a SWISH everytime! LOL

Dribbling Warm-Up: Challenge yourself to Level Up!
Complete as many levels as you can keeping the ball under control.
Levels must be completed successfully and in order to advance to the next challenge.
Remember your Dribbling Cues:

*Bounce ball waist high, near back foot/while other arm protects the ball

- Dribble with non-preferred hand 20 times while stationary.
- Do a cross-over dribble 20 times while stationary.
- Perform a push-pull dribble 10 times in front of you, from side to side, using your preferred hand.
- Perform a push-pull dribble 10 times in front of you, from side to side, using your non-preferred hand.
- Perform a push-pull dribble 10 times from front to back using your preferred hand.
- Perform a push-pull dribble 10 times from front to back using your non-preferred hand.
- Dribble while moving using your preferred hand. Make 6 laps across the gym without losing control of the ball.
- Dribble while moving using your non-preferred hand. Make 6 laps across the gym without losing control of the ball.
- Dribble while moving and perform a cross-over dribble at every red line that you come to. Make 6 laps across the gym without losing control.
- Dribble while moving and perform a spin move at half court. Make 4 laps across the gym without losing control.
- Perform the figure eight dribble while stationary. Complete 5 figure eights.
- Perform the spider dribble while stationary. Complete 20 taps of the ball.
- Dribble while moving and dribble between your legs at half court. Make 4 laps across the gym without losing control.
- Work on dribbling while moving with a defender (partner) trying to steal the ball. Once you make it across the gym 2 times, switch with your partner.
